Odaiba is now known for its state-of-the-art and modern buildings, but it is also full of history which traces back to the Edo era.
This is an informative cycling tour where an English-speaking Japanese tour guide reveals Japan’s history and culture.
12:00 noon / 4:00 PM
We start at the old town Kachidoki to Monja Street, and through Tsukudashima, which has gained prominence since the Edo era through its historic aura and “tsukudani” which is a traditional Japanese dish with fish simmered in soy sauce.
We then head towards Odaiba Park and then to Odaiba Seaside Park. From the beach park, we ride on to Soya, a Japanese icebreaker vessel which is now a museum. The movie “Eight Below”, starring Paul Walker, was based on the true story of Soya. We’ll also swing by the Odaiba seafront to take a picture with the giant anime hero “Gundam”!
